沼氣工程主要是通過厭氧發(fā)酵及相關處理降低糞水有機質含量,達到或接近排放標準并按括厭氧發(fā)酵主體及配套工程技術設計工藝要求獲取能源—沼氣。沼氣利用產品與設備技術,主要是利用沼氣或直接用于生活用能,或發(fā)電、或燒鍋爐、或直接用于生產供暖、或作為化工原料等:沼肥制成液肥和復合肥技術,則主要是通過固液分離,添加必要元素和成份,使沼肥制成液肥或復合肥,供自身使用或銷售。

沼氣池處理養(yǎng)殖廢水主要功能:一是降低了廢水中的COD含量。據(jù)資料顯示如果完全發(fā)酵,COD的去除率在80%以上。往往養(yǎng)殖場的沼氣池都不能完全發(fā)酵即被排出。二是對畜禽糞便進行了無害化處理。即,由于沼氣池厭氧發(fā)酵池,有害病菌會完全殺死。
